After driving from Teague, we arrived at the Eagle Rock Golf Club in Ennis at about 2:00 pm. For record, we played the 506 yard par 5 first hole. We knew we were at a neat place when all of the players from the morning rounds were dividing up their winnings. To the victors go the "spoils." We could tell all of these men were regulars of this club and close friends and rivals on the course.
After playing the par 5 where Robert got a bogey 6, and I shot an 8, we enjoyed doing some practice putting and chipping. Hopefully, it will pay off at our next stop. Robert also gave me some pointers on hitting my new 7 wood. I already really like that club.
