This stop was some of the most fun that we have had so far on our ROAD TRIP because we were joined by my daughter Morgan and her friend David. We played nine holes at Waxahachie Country Club. It was a blast, but this course can be difficult because of the number of holes that water comes in to play. Also, a number of holes have narrow "shoots" (Hole # 2) which required near pinpoint accuracy off the tee.
***One discovery we made is that Jeff's Radar Golf System actually does perform as advertised!! We used it on two holes to find wayward balls that would have normally been lost in the tall grass. Every Golfer should checkout this system at (http://www.radargolf.com/)
Our hole for record was # 7 a 346 yard Par4.
Jeff again hit a straight tee shot which was followed by a "Chili dip" second shot. Jeff focused on his third shoot and placed it approximately 60 yards from the green. He hit a wedge to about 12 feet from the flag. (My lessons my be paying off!!). He sank a "highlight reel" putt for a bogey 5.
I didn't fair as well. I hit my normal short tee shot to the right side of the fairway. From the tall rough I hit a "Flier" into a fairway bunker. I had to punch out. My fourth shot I smoked a 9 iron over the green and had to up and down for a double bogey 6.
It was really fun watching Morgan and David interact with each other. On # 8 (a Par 3 over water) Morgan hit it "High and Dry" way to go Morgan. A lesser golfer would have accepted the penalty stroke and immediately gone to the drop area on the other side. Courage under pressure really paid off for Morgan. David's lessons are almost as GOOD AS MINE!!. David also is now sporting a souvenir shirt from Waxahachie Country Club.
