" Thanks For The Memories!!!" By: Jeff Frazer

Hole # 18

Sunset Golf Club

Grand Prairie, Texas

(214) 331-8057

Par 3, 128 Yards

As we drive to Grand Prairie, the skies continue to clear. We are going to make all 18 stops in 6 days without any weather delays. In Texas this summer, that is a real miracle. By the time we end our journey, we will have traveled more than 1450 miles and played at least 72 holes of golf on 18 different courses. We have chosen 18 of those holes as our record holes. The par for our round of 18 holes in our "Ultimate Golf Road trip" is 71 strokes. Please don't be too cruel in your judgement of our play until you too have undertaken this journey. If you ever decide to take a trip like this, let us encourage you to invest in an American Cancer Society Golf Pass. This Pass has save both of us a large sum of money as we have purchased green fees and carts on our trip. You see golf at its best when you can travel the back roads. Not to mention you meet terrific people and see gorgeous countryside.

And now for OUR LAST STOP... Robert, Austin, and I pulled into sunset Golf Club in Grand Prairie at about 4:45 Saturday afternoon. We were all tired, but each of us was primed and ready to do our best and to finish strong. Our hole for record was the par 3 fourth hole. Because of a tournament at The Sunset Golf Club we were ask to start at this Par 3 hole. There was water short and right of the green. I hit a 7 iron straight, and it landed just in front of the green. I pitched up onto the green and nearly made my par. I did make bogey 4 which I will gladly take.

Robert hit his tee shot to the left of the green he had a great pitch back onto the green. He then two putted for a bogey four. We were now complete for record--

BUT WAIT-- NEWS FLASH!!!

10 year old Austin Frazer makes his first ever par on the last hole of our trip!! At about 5:30 PM, Robert convinced us to play one last hole which was the Par 3 ninth hole, with a distance of 85 Yards over water. Austin & I both hit over the water and landed on the green. We both had birdie opportunities. I then three putted for my routine bogey 4. Again, I'll say I will take this every time. And then came Austin. He had a 20 foot birdie put which he missed by only 2 feet and he then calmly sank his par putt. This 10 year old had his first ever par and a shot that all of us will always remember. That's really what this trip has been all about--- making lifelong memories with your family on the "Trip Of A Lifetime." If you ever have the chance top do something like this, take the opportunity and involve all of your family or friends. You won't regret it. We certainly have not!!

FINAL SCORE---- PAR: 71
ROBERT FRAZER---86
JEFF FRAZER---100
THE NEXT "ULTIMATE GOLF ROAD TRIP" WILL INCLUDE A STOP FOR MORE LESSONS!!!
