"Sometimes The First Really Is The Best" By: Robert Frazer

Hole # 10

A-1 Golf Center

Rockwall, Texas

(972) 771-3996

Par 3, 70 Yards

We traveled on Thursday morning over to our sister Molly's old home in Rockwall arriving at A-1 Golf Center at 9:30 AM. We discovered that this is a nine-hole par 3 course. We started at the first hole which was 70 yards.

Jeff hit his tee shot short and just to the right of the green. He had a good chip that landed about six feet from the pin. He missed his par putt, but did make a bogey 4.

I hit my tee shot on the front left edge of the green and pitched up within 10 feet of the flag. I also two putted for a bogey 4. It felt pretty good to have a hole on record, and it was only 10:00 AM. We played several more holes to warm up our short-game shots. Let's see if this pays off on our next stop.

A-1 Golf Center in Rockwall is a nice little practice facility. It is very clean and well kept. There were staff on the course keeping it groomed. Rockwall, which is a suburb in the DFW metroplex, is a quickly growing area. This facility is certainly a nice recreational addition to the community.
