"Up and At It Again!" By: Jeff Frazer

Hole # 7

Lake Whitney RV and Golf Club

Whitney , Texas

(254) 694-2313

Par 4, 345 yards

Leaving at our normal 8:30 departure time, we traveled to Lake Whitney RV and Golf Club on the beautiful shores of Lake Whitney. (We found ourselves a little hampered today because Robert's cell phone was mistakenly left at the house.) Upon arrival at the club, we met the owner Scottie. He was extremely personable and told us the signature was # 8, a 350 yard par 4 with a tee shot over water. I was not feeling comfortable right out of the car, therefore I allowed Robert to play the hole solo. Robert did score a bogey 5 on this warmup hole. We also practiced on # 9, a 491 yard par 5. I once again found that the Radar Golf system is effective, when my tee shot found the DEEP rough on the right. Radar Golf honed in easily and we found a ball that would have normally been lost.

Our hole for record at Lake Whitney was the 345 yard straight-away par 4 10th hole. I had a pretty good drive landing in the short rough about even with the 150 yard marker. After a very "questionable" approach shot, I hit my third shot pin high left of the green. After blading a chip shot over the green, I chipped back on and two putted for a "7."

Robert had a great drive landing just left of the 150 yard marker in the short rough. Using his 5 iron, Robert hit his approach shot to right of the green. His chip went over in three. He then chipped on and two putted for "6."

If you happen to be between Dallas and Austin, this course is worth the effort. It is a little off the beaten path but has tremendous golf and exquisite views of Lake Whitney. Come and see for yourself!
